The 2027 Swift Elegance Grande 850L is the flagship of the Swift caravan range, a 4 berth touring caravan built with an extensive specification throughout. At 2.45m (8ft) wide and 7.98m (26’2″) in external length, it’s a twin axle van, so it tows steadily and gives you the stability a bigger, well equipped caravan needs.
Layout and Living Space The Grande 850L gives you a fixed front double bed and a fixed rear double bed, so you get two full-size sleeping areas with nothing to convert or fold away each night. Snag and stain resistant Aquaclean fabric is fitted throughout, along with speakers in the bedroom and an electric Midi-Heki rooflight for extra light and air.
Kitchen Facilities The L-shaped kitchen has a solid surface worktop, a Thetford thermostatic oven with grill, a three burner gas hob and one electric hotplate, so you can cook a full meal whichever hook-up you’re on. A flatbed microwave and a 177 litre fridge with a 35 litre freezer compartment give you real capacity for a longer trip, rather than relying on the site restaurant every night. An extractor fan is fitted above the hob.
The Washroom The washroom has a thick marble effect work surface with additional lighting, and an illuminated shower console with an Ecocamel Jetstorm showerhead for a powerful shower that uses less water. An Alde ladder towel radiator, an omnivent and a shaving socket round out the specification.
Heating and Climate The Grande 850L runs on Alde radiator central heating and water heating, with an Alde boiler incorporating Alde Flow for continuous hot water and underfloor heating, so there are no cold corners anywhere in the van. It’s controlled from a 7 inch touchscreen Swift Command panel, with remote control via the Swift Command app, and an underslung 40 litre heated fresh water tank is fitted as standard.
Practical Extras A 120W solar panel, an external 230V socket, a TV point and a BBQ point are all fitted as standard. Onboard 4G Wi-Fi is fitted, though you’ll need your own SIM card, and the Swift Command Tracker gives you an extra layer of security, on a subscription. A passive infra red alarm with a tilt sensor is fitted for peace of mind when you’re away from the van.
